          Indiana University or IU is located in Bloomington, Indiana. Indiana University is consistently ranked within the top 100 universities in the United States. It is also ranked in the top 10 best wired universities and receives kudos for being an extremely college friendly student location. IU enrolls over 40,000 students on average. The University has over a $1 billion dollar endowment and is often referred to as the Hoosiers.

Step 1

The average entrance GPA is around a 3.5 to get into Indiana University. The college has a very high admission rate however of close to 75%. This means that 75% of applicants get admitted into IU. This is good for you and raises your chances of getting a good scholarship if your grades are higher than the rest of your peers applying to the university.

Step 2

SAT entrance scores for Indiana University are in the mid to high 500’s range for Math and Critical Reading. Average ACT scores are between 24 and 29.

Indiana University is much more lax than most colleges with regards to supplemental application information. For example IU does not require that you submit an entrance essay with your college application. Also they do not require letters of recommendation either. You simply fill out their easy common application and wait for an answer. Indiana University takes the stress out of the college admissions process. IU also does rolling admissions policy as well. This means that you can still apply past the deadline date and you will be considered if there are available slots open. Also the longer you wait the more difficult it will be to get financial aid.
