It can be a daunting task trying to get accepted into a great Ivy league school such as Yale. Follow the tips below for how to get accepted into Yale.

Step 1

Start thinking about your Yale study in your Junior year of high school. Review your grades and if they were not up to par your Freshman and Sophomore year then you will excel your junior and senior years. Ninety seven percent of incoming freshman at Yale were in the top 10% of their senior year classes in high school. This means that without a doubt you will at least have to be in the top 10% of your high school based on GPA and grades if you want to be considered for Yale admission. This is no easy ordeal so you must strive to achieve excellence in your grades as early as possible.

Step 2

Take an SAT Prep class or order SAT prep books to raise your SAT scores. The average entrance SAT scores for Yale are very high. In fact 3 quarters of incoming Yale students score between 700 and 800 points on their SAT reading, math and writing scores.

Step 3

The Yale admission application fee is $75 dollars. You should try to set up an on campus interview as part of your Yale application review process if you are serious about attending Yale University. Although an interview is not required as part of the application process, it can aid in their decision if you have a good interview. Make sure to answer all interview questions to the best of your ability and showcase your strong academic prowess as well as your love of Yale.
